We've been making quite some progress with Skye's acceptance of Tanya (see previous update from last summer). Watch this:
Skye is not only happy to see Tanya coming in, but she is relaxed during the whole visit. She takes treats from her, and doesn't react to the ones that are tossed a bit further.
You will also notice how close the gate is now by the kitchen (that was a big deal!) and that I have almost disappeared from the picture. I only intervene when Tanya moves the gate to help Skye associates that big scary move with delicious yummy treats.
We are very grateful for Tanya, her patience and dedication (she is be visiting us twice a week for almost 3 years now!) is making that possible. She is also very skilled working with dogs and is very attuned to Skye.
