Today was a good day. No stress, no vet, no bandage change... Just the meds but we are getting pretty good at it, it now takes less than 10 seconds! It was just us and Skye at home.
She loves the yard and spends lots of time exploring. I can't imagine how good it must feel to walk around with no barriers (well we do have fences with the neighbors), walk on the grass and lay on the ground, after being in a wire cage all your life.
Today she was quite relaxed and started eating more. She likes bread, and she likes it even better with peanut butter! She is becoming a true American girl :)
She felt so much better that she started showing a puppy side - after all she is barely 18 months (vet estimate). She picked up a toy, threw it in the air, and bounced after it. It didn't last long, but it warmed my heart. She also showed a lot of interest in Sophie and Lucie, the turkeys.
Today was a good day.
