Goal:
Animals around the world need your help to escape danger! To win this game, be the first to rescue one animal of each type (1 chicken, 1 pig, 1 cow, 1 cat, and 1 dog) or 5 animals of the same type (for example: 5 dogs).
Setup:
Place the cards (animal picture facing up, trivia down) on a table in five piles organized by type of animal.
The player with the most animals at home (humans don’t count!) goes first. Tiebreak: the youngest player begins.
On your turn:
Roll the dice.
The player to your left picks up the card on top of the pile matching the color of the dice, and reads out loud the question along with its multiple choice answers. Each color corresponds to a type of animal, with the wildcard indicating you may choose a card from any type of animal.
Answer the question. The player to your left reads the answer out loud.
If you answered the question correctly, you just rescued this animal! Keep that card.
If you did not answer correctly, you will have the opportunity to rescue this animal later. Place the card back at the bottom of the pile.
If the card has a rescue story and no trivia, the player to your left reads the story out loud. You can keep that card or exchange it for any other card from any other player (they don’t have to agree!).
The player to your left gets to play next.
