Animal Sanctuaries

Across the country, compassionate individuals and organizations dedicate themselves to rescuing and caring for farmed animals. These sanctuaries provide safe havens for animals who have escaped or been rescued from animal agriculture, neglect, or abuse. Some rehabilitate animals from dire circumstances, others offer temporary refuge until permanent homes are found, while many provide lifetime care in peaceful, natural settings where these animals can live out their days with dignity and respect.
Riddle Ranch proudly features animals who have found their second chance at life through the following sanctuaries, each making a profound difference in the lives of cows, pigs, chickens, goats, and other farmed animals who deserve to be seen as individuals rather than commodities:

About us

Isabelle Cnudde has been an animal lover her entire life. Growing up in the South of France, she shared her home with cats, dogs, bunnies, budgies, and fish. After her high-tech career brought her to California, she welcomed chickens into her backyard. These remarkable creatures opened her eyes to the plight of farmed animals and inspired her to found Clorofil, an animal advocacy nonprofit and micro-sanctuary. As a humane educator, Isabelle shares her passion with her community, raising awareness about the lives of farmed animals and the environmental impact of animal agriculture. She now lives with her husband Peter and a family of rescued animals—including chickens, turkeys, and a dog—all saved from the meat and egg industries.
