Et voilà! The chickens have a new home.
The whole project ended up much bigger than anticipated. It started by "let's replace the damaged pieces of wood by new ones" but we quickly realized that everything was rotten and that termites had been having a feast on it for the last few years. So we redid (and extended) the whole run, placed in on a base of pressure treated redwood beams. The hen house also ended up quite damaged, so we split the barn so the turkeys and the chickens could share it. It took us just a bit less than 3 months, but it was worth it.
We are really proud of our work :)
